La Rinconada is a classic design that will provide you with a multitude of challenges. The course rests on rolling hills with narrow, tree-lined fairways. The greens are small and undulating and protected by many bunkers. The course features a wide variety of challenging holes, including two long par 3's and several risk/reward short par 4's. Greens and tees are close together unlike many modern course designs. This easily walk-able golf course allows panoramic views of the valley and foothills from Mount Diablo to the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,123 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,098 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 544 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 141 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 431 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 11, a 156 yard par-3.

Old style course with narrow fairways and small greens. Short yardage makes it look easy on paper but very few come in under par. Recently upgraded all of the facilities with a total redo of the clubhouse, greens, tee boxes and greens. Very well maintained. The course is a hidden gem in the heart of Los Gatos. Very friendly atmosphere. A little hard to find but well worth it if you can get an invite. It has one of the best practice facilities in the area. It would be a good place to take some lessons ( open to non-members).

One of the better country clubs in the bay area. Beautiful clubhouse with great views of the Silicon Valley. Good golf course, but not terribly difficult, especially for long hitters.
